Discover Your Roots is a professional genealogy service specializing in researching and documenting descendants and family history.
Founded in 2014 by Dawn Carey Henry, a professional genealogist, Dawn turned a hobby and personal passion of researching her own ancestors and family history into a profession.
Dawn received her Certificate in Genealogical Research in 2014 from Boston University, well renowned for their Genealogy program, is a graduate of ProGen 25 and holds a Bachelors Degree in Distributed Studies with an emphasis in International Relations from Iowa State University.
Dawn is an active member of Association of Professional Genealogists, National Genealogy Society and Illinois State Genealogical Society. Dawn also volunteers on several local and state genealogy societies including Fox Valley Genealogy Society and the Illinois State Genealogy Society where she serves as the Past President, Conference Chair and Genealogy Chair.
